It has come to my attention that there are two general breeds of Seniors, and I have yet to encounter a real medium: those who, for reasons of their own, are extremely bitter and would love nothing more than to get the hell out of here and move the fuck on with their lives, and then there are those who are absolutely loving Seniordom and would love to have it as drawn out as humanly possible.
I am glad to say that I am blessed to fall into the latter category.
I got into my first-choice school way back in December without too much effort; I've successfully cast the boringness of academic work to the wayside; I am cleverly dodging most of the responsibilities around my house (and doing a good job of enjoying those that I end up doing); I am spending my time with friends, and, of course, the most lovely Jill...
Everything's peaches but the cream.
... but despite this (or, perhaps, because of this) unprecedented euphoria in my life, I'm feeling awfully guilty in general, and I wish I weren't, and I'm sure I probably shouldn't.
I will make the most of the next five months, I will make the most of the next five months, I think I can, I think I can...
By the way, I was sleeping soundly, but was awoken by Ericson. I think I'll share with all of you right now the conversation which woke me up:
