Post-Lasik Bitching

Ugh, I'm sure I'm perfectly fine, but I could swear that my vision is getting progressively worse. Things aren't so much blurry any more as they are "ghosty"; that is, just about everything (especially bright things) seems to have a very slight ghost/shadow image attached to it, and it's awfully difficult for my eyes to focus between the two. (That isn't entirely accurate, but that's the best way I can think of to describe what's actuallly happening.)

Still, I suppose it isn't that bad; if this makes any sense, before, it felt like my eyes were physically incapable of focusing on things (pre-Lasik vision was about 20/700); now, it just feels like they don't want to. Perhaps, with the right level of coaxing (or just a bit more time to fully heal) everything will be fine... I only wish I could truly say that things with my eyes are getting better, not worse, but then, it's only been a day or two...

Did some night time driving yesterday. Headlights don't so much have halos, as one often hears about in Lasik patients, as they do starbursts. There isn't a ring around lights, but the light seems to extend outward in all directions from sources of light in the dark. Again, supposedly this is normal...

Anyway, I'm going to try to keep post-Lasik bitching to a minimum until next Thursday, when I have my first post-op examination and a doctor can tell me how I'm doing.

... actually, my eyes are having trouble focusing on this screen, and I'm looking for an excuse to stop typing. ;-) And I need to get to class.

Ciao, ya'all.
