Then And Now: A One Year (Give or Take) Recap

Well, today marks the one year anniversary of this Diaryland. Happy birthday to it. In honor of its birthday, I was going to have a new template going, but that's still in the works, so instead, I'm going to do a little Then/Now.

Then: Freaking out over my college essay for UF.

Now: After submitting said essays to UF and getting into it Early Decision, am now going to DCCC.

Then: Was a Caffeine Addict.

Now: Am still a hardcore caffeine addict, though I've since learned that my father was an idiot for telling me that green tea has more caffeine than anything else. It does, in fact, have the least amount.

Then: Worked with old people.

Now: Don't work. But that will change, oh, that will change, so help me god....

Then: Dug old school Super Nintendo.

Now: Am digging old school Starcraft with Min.

Then: Dug McWang.

Now: Still digging the Wang, though seeing less and less of him these days. He still has my swords from our last lesson, so we better have them again soon so I can get them back. (cough, cough)

Then: Had no control.

Now: Have no control.

Then: Apparently, used the word "whee" a lot.

Now: Apparently, use it a lot less. Whee!

Then: Bush was an idiot.

Now: Ahem...

Then: Had issues with some women.

Now: Have issues with other women.

Then: Ordered a Nikon FM2n camera, having decided that photography would be fun.

Now: The Nikon is sitting on my shelf with roughly three months of dust settled on it.

Then: Didn't dig my own birthday.

Now: Am digging it considerably more. However, should you decide to throw me a surprise birthday party, make sure it's very, very far away from my house.

Then: Expressed fears of joining Wang at DCCC.

Now: Wang's going to a local chapter of PennState, and here I am, for reasons I never would have anticipated.

Then: Wanted to write more poetry.

Now: I've got some new stuff, tucked away, but the poet in me feels, more or less, dead, or, at least, asleep.

Then: Discovered Transhumanism.

Now: The entry is coming on it, I swear.

Then: Was salty.

Now: Am content.

Then: Was filming for Jason's show.

Now: What show?

Then: Hadn't seen "Office Space".

Now: Have seen it, and am a changed person, without the change.

Then: Beat Amanda.

Now: Apparently, my sister is beating Amanda's brother. Perhaps I'll get into greater detail on that one of these days, but it's good to know that the Young line is still beating out the Thais.

Then: Was very bitter about "All in the Timing"..

Now: Am significantly less bitter, though I suppose some bitterness remains.

Then: Went Trick-or-Treating.
Now: Hmmm, I think they're still taking applicants at Halloween Adventure...
And now, my Then's are beginning to go into November which is probably too far forward to be fair, so I'm calling this an entry. Might write a retrospective entry later today to cover things not covered in the D-Land a year ago; then again, might not. We shall see.
