eyes betray the soul and bear its thinking...

... beyond words they say so many things to me...

You know something interesting I just realized?

All of the gothic techno I used to listen to exclusively - VnV Nation, Assemblage 23, Apoptygma Berzerk, Covenant, and the like - has pretty much been dropped. I hardly listen to them anymore, and even then, it's only in small doses. I used to love listening to it while wallowing in my own self pity, but that's entirely gone now, and when I do listen to it, it seems as though I do it only because it still exists on my harddrive. Funny thing is, I still remember who introduced it all to me: Lindsay, a.k.a., Miss. Muir, who used to work with me at Presby and is now a substitute teacher in my highschool (she got a supercool haircut today, btw, which was a refreshing change). I feel as though I am forever indebted to her for providing with a form of music I was unfamiliar with well over a year ago as a means of escape in my life, but I no longer have any real use for it. Kalamazoo!

I probably have more I could say, but I'm just about dead right now, so I'm about ready to go to sleep.

By the way, my entire family has left the house to me for the weekend. I'd love to throw a wild party, which might work for several reasons:

(1) No one else is in the house, save for a semi-hyper dog and a rather laid back cat.

(2) No one in my family would notice the mess from any preceding parties thrown in my house, since my house is already a horrible, horrible mess due to its pre-move state.

(3) I still have plenty of gothic techno. While it no longer qualifies as "easy-listening" for me, it's still plenty of fun to shake one's booty to.

(4) My house is in a relatively secluded and quiet section of the neighborhood which is largely overlooked, so if anyone decided to, say, sprawl themselves out on the lawn drunk, they wouldn't really be noticed.

Of course, a party isn't really very likely, since:

(1) My parents expect me to actually fix up the house some more while they're gone. Even though my parents really expect me to do nothing, I really should, so any mess's made would have to be unmade and I'd have to go beyond that by making the house cleaner than it was to begin with.

(2) My house is completely devoid of booze. Of course, even if there was booze in the house, I'm too much of a dork to engage in or actively encourage consumption of it.

(3) My dog is prone to fits of jealousy, and would jump anyone involved and attempt to compete for attention.

(4) Few people would take an invitation to a party at my house seriously.

(5) I'm too much of a dork/goody two shoes (at least, in that regard) to throw a party in the first place.

Subsequently, it looks as though my weekend will be relatively subdued. No complaints, though, so long as it's spent with the right people - or person.

Either/or.

Anywho, am going to bed. Toodles!
