"Is this real?"

Who is Xduckie11X? A stranger? Someone I once knew? Hmm... I'm apparently on their buddy list, but I can't get into their profile and their diary is locked. Whoever you are, if you wish to stay that way, that is certainly your right and you are welcome to; however, if you change your mind, feel free to let me know using the links on the left.
In other news...

I really don't feel like going back to school tomorrow. I essentially just had a five-day weekend (Friday was an in-service day, Monday was President's Day, and today was cancelled due to the weather), and those five days made me lose all drive to go back there (not that I really had any before).

My day was largely spent sleeping, since I feel like shit for one reason or another, and wrapping up my tax-forms and FAFSA form, neither of which is particularly enjoyable. I hate finances, which explains why I am the treasurer of the Anime Club and I am stuck calculating all of its expenses now that the trip is over. Go figure.

And now for a brief Katsucon anecdote:

So, nearly everyone at Katsucon "CosPlay"s, which means that they dress up as an anime character. Me? I pretty much dressed up as myself, with my typical overcoat and top-hat. Just to shake things up, I wrote "Walbert de Ripper" (pronounced "Valbert de RE-pair") on my nametag.

So.

I'm standing in the elevator, wearing my overcoat and tophat, and this lady behind me begins stroking my hair.

"Is this real?" she asks me. She had this very, very slight way of slurring her words, and I couldn't tell if she was drunk, if she was trying to be seductive (which she failed at), or if that was just her normal way of talking.

Rather flustered, I told her that it was, in fact, very real.

"I don't know how you do it," she said, as she continued to stroke it, slightly to my dismay. It isn't often that I'm approached by total strangers who are turned on by my hair. In fact, there aren't even too many non-strangers who I know who are turned on by my hair (Jill, I suppose, being one notable exception).

I'm not sure if I was supposed to be flattered or creeped out, but it was, oh, maybe 1:00 in the morning and I was rather tired and leaning towards creeped out, so I got out of the elevator as quickly as I could.

Anywho, that is all, for now. Perhaps more, later.
