(1) I've officially become affiliated with an international terrorist. At Katsucon, I signed up to be a beta-tester for this fax-machine type thing which is used to connect you with people in Japan (called "Mojico" - I'd offer a link but all the literature on it is purely in Japanese). The machine came in on Friday, and Ericson used it to send relatively creepy pictures to Japanese school girls, who didn't really deserve it. However, we also used it to creep out some American pedophiles and fundamentalists (people who were one or the other, not necessarily both) and they certainly deserved it, so I guess things have evened out.
(2) Landed a job as a server and bartender at a country club. Shall receive tips which will supplement an above-minimum-wage income. Will begin work this Thursday.
(3) Parents will be buying me a car within the next two weeks. It will certainly not be a Miata; in fact, it will probably be American and from the late eighties... but it will have four wheels, and it will go. At this point, I'm just about willing to take anything that meets this set of criteria; besides, I have every intention of trading it in for something else as soon as I'm able.
(4) Went to Min's show, which Erik accurately dubbed "McKenna's Wet Dream", in that it was everything McKenna wanted to get out of our Senior Musical and then some. It certainly helped that it wasn't nearly as conservative and censored as the senior musical. Also, a guy sitting in front of us was a jerk and I yelled at him at the end of the show and became quite gratified in doing so.
(5) Got bored and took this silly okcupid.com test that's going around. Answered questions honestly and was, unexpectedly, labeled as a "Pool Boy". Not that I can't see where that's coming from, though; in the past six months, the romantic in me has become increasingly disillusioned, that is, if it hasn't died off entirely. Perhaps it's just a part of growing up, like when you stop believing in Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy.
(6) Incidentally, a Mac user who goes to Emory and gets to my diary via Min's profile was my 8,000th visitor. Feel free to sign my guestbook, and maybe I'll scrounge up some sort of prize/recognition...
Anyway, must be off. Things to do. Oh, and a shoutout to Dani, if you're reading this.
