Post-Lasik, Part Two

Written on 2004-01-15, at 12:01 p.m.

I'm feeling more and more like Brock from the infamous Pokemon:

Without glasses, my eyes are awfully small and my head is awfully big, and when I squint I can see perfectly fine but it looks as though my eyes are closed, which makes the Brock resemblance all the more striking.

Anyway.

To pick up where I sort of left off LASIK went fine. However, afterwards, they put on these eye-shields so you can't (an hour ago, that said "can" so I just fixed that) fidget with your eyes, and I was dying to fidget with my left eye since it filled up with tears after some jerk-off in an opposing lane of traffic went driving with his high-beams (my eyes were very sensitive to light last night and still are, which makes the fact that it snowed last night and the world's all white all the more aggrevating) which still managed to pierce my tightly clenched eyes. Subsequently, I had to keep my left eye shut the whole evening last night, which I suppose is okay since I was supposed to keep them both shut, anyway, as much as possible.

Ericson stopped by, briefly, and commented on my rather freaky eyes (covered with these Bug-Man eye shields) and then, at the very late hour of 8:00, I went to sleep.

Except for the whole blurry vision thing, I haven't had any problems today. Yesterday, immediately after surgery, it felt like I had particles of sand on my eyes which I was dying to wipe away (but, again, could not) but that's supposedly normal. Haven't had problems with that today.

Anyway, I think I'm going to go rest my eyes a bit. Ciao, for now.
